How this works

Conversion = new members a month ÷ retail customers a month. Use unique retail customers if your POS reports them: a car count counts a regular more than once and makes the rate look lower than it is.

One point of conversion = 1% of your retail customers, as more sign-ups each month. Those members do not all stay: the 12-month figure runs month by month, with churn taking its share each month before that month’s new sign-ups join. The revenue is the members left after 12 months × your average monthly price, a month, from then on.

For the rate you are aiming for, more sign-ups = retail customers × that rate − the new members you get now, then the same 12 months. It counts membership dollars only, and assumes your retail traffic, churn and price stay as you entered them.
