Car Wash Software With AI: What Each Tool Does
Every WashConsole account has AI built in, at no extra charge. This is what each tool does and what it leaves to a person.
If you're comparing car wash software with AI, here is what ours does today. Most of them work from records your team already keeps in WashConsole.
The AI Tools in WashConsole
Every tool in this table comes with every active WashConsole subscription.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| AI Site Coach | Checks one site's records and lists what needs attention first, marked All clear, Needs attention or Critical. Open it from the sidebar. |
| Portfolio Coach | With two or more sites, shows a card for each site and the top priorities across all of them. It takes the Site Coach's place once you have a second site. |
| AI Safety Officer | Answers questions such as "What PPE do I need for the tire shine?" from the safety data sheets uploaded for that site, and names the sheet it used. Find it in the SDS Library. |
| Photo checks | On by default. Compares completed-task photos with your reference photo. Unfinished work, or a missing or reused photo, is flagged on a manager's Assignments for review. |
| Gauge photos | Reads the number from a gauge photo. If the photo is clear and the number is in your range, WashConsole saves the reading. Find it in Gauges. |
| AI Maintenance Summary | Summarizes the repairs for the period you pick, next to total downtime and repair cost. Find it on the Maintenance Log in Work Orders. |
| Stock Health Report | Ranks what a site used most this week and points out large removals of costly items, stock that hasn't moved in two weeks, and items due for a fresh count. Find it in Inventory. |
| Review analysis | Shows which way your Google reviews are trending, complaints customers are starting to repeat, which team members get named, and one thing to fix this week. It needs at least five written reviews, some older than 30 days. Find it in Reviews. |
| Course builder | Builds a draft course with lessons and an optional quiz from a topic or a document you upload. Find it in Learn under New course, in the web app. |
| Schedule draft | Drafts a week of shifts from your team's availability and approved time off. Find it in Schedule. |
| WashBot | Answers questions using our help articles. Choose Talk to a Human to send a question to our support team. Find it in Chat under WashConsole Support. |
| Your own AI agent | Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and ask about your sites in plain English, such as "Which chemicals are running low?" Add washconsole.com/mcp in your AI app. |
What It Leaves to a Person
- AI-generated schedules are drafts. Only managers see them until someone publishes the week.
- A generated course is a draft. Nobody is assigned to it until a manager publishes it.
- Photo check flags go to managers. Crew members never see the verdict.
- Each AI Safety Officer answer tells you to check the sheet if something looks off.
- A connected AI agent can only read. It cannot change anything in your account. Only owners and managers can connect one, and WashConsole checks their role on every question.
A Morning Routine
- Before you open, check the AI Site Coach and start with anything marked Critical.
- Check Assignments for photo flags. Look at the photo before you talk to anyone about it.
- Once a week, read the Maintenance Log summary and the Stock Health Report.
With more than one site, use the Portfolio Coach to find the sites marked Critical or Needs attention. Our guide to software for several locations covers the rest.
Questions to Ask Any Vendor About AI
- Which AI features are on for every account today, and which are a pilot or a waitlist?
- What records does it read, and can I see where an answer came from?
- Does it act on its own, or draft for a person to approve?
- Is AI included in the price, or billed per question or per seat?
- What do my crew members see when the AI flags their work?
- Can I connect my own AI assistant, and can it change anything?
Getting Started
The AI uses the records saved in WashConsole. Start by adding your equipment and SDS sheets, then add reference photos to the tasks that matter most. See what's included on the pricing page.
