Your best guess at the extra cancellations, on top of normal churn.

How this works

Membership revenue today = active members × today’s average price. After the increase, each member who stays pays more, so you can lose some and still take in the same. The share you can lose = (new price − today’s price) ÷ new price, and the members you can lose are that share of your members, rounded down to a whole member. It depends only on the two prices.

With your own guess at how many will cancel over it: revenue after = members who stay × the new price, and the change = revenue after − revenue today. The 12-month figure is that change × 12.

It counts membership revenue only, and leaves out your normal monthly churn, since the members who would leave anyway leave at either price. Members who cancel may also stop buying extras, which is not counted here.
