Barcode Scanning

Use your phone camera or a Bluetooth scanner for quick inventory updates.

Scanning with Your Phone

  1. Go to Inventory
  2. Tap Scan to Stock
  3. Point your camera at a barcode
  4. Item is found automatically
  5. Adjust quantity and save

Scanning with a Bluetooth Scanner

If you have a Bluetooth barcode scanner:

  1. Connect it to your PC
  2. Click on the Barcode field when adding items
  3. Scan the product
  4. Barcode auto-populates

Generating Barcodes

For items without barcodes (custom supplies):

  1. Click Generate Barcode
  2. A unique code is created (like INV-123456)
  3. Print the label and stick it on the item

Printing Labels

  1. Find the item in Inventory
  2. Click the Print icon next to the barcode
  3. Print on label paper
  4. Apply to product or shelf

Best Practices

  • Label shelves, not just products
  • Scan when receiving shipments
  • Scan when using supplies
  • Keep labels clean and visible

Tip

Cheap Bluetooth scanners ($20-50) are much faster than phone cameras for high-volume updates.
