Preventive Maintenance (PM)

Schedule regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns. View PMs on a calendar, drag to reschedule, and get reminders before PM is due.

What is Preventive Maintenance?

Instead of waiting for things to break, you maintain them on a schedule.

Examples:

  • Lubricate chains every 7 days
  • Replace filters every 30 days
  • Inspect belts every 14 days

Setting Up PM

  1. Go to Equipment
  2. Click on an equipment item
  3. Find the PM Schedule section
  4. Set:

- Interval — Every X days

- Last Done — When PM was last performed

How It Works

PM Reminders

The system warns you:

  • 5 days before — Yellow warning
  • On the day — Due now
  • Past due — Red alert

The AI Coach also mentions overdue PM in your daily briefing.

PM Calendar (Desktop)

On desktop, the Equipment page shows a PM Calendar — a monthly view where each PM appears on its due date.

  • Navigate months with the left/right arrows
  • Click "Today" to jump back to the current month
  • Overdue PMs appear in red on past dates
  • Click any PM card to see full details (coverage, frequency, due date, last completed)
  • Drag and drop a PM card to a different day to reschedule it (managers only)

Zone PMs cannot be rescheduled by drag-and-drop.

PM Dashboard (Mobile)

On mobile, PMs display in a collapsible dashboard grouped by:

  • Overdue — with a "Do Now" button to create a work order immediately
  • Due This Week — with a "Schedule" button
  • Upcoming — next 30 days

Tap the header to expand or collapse the dashboard.

Completing PM

  1. Do the maintenance work
  2. Go to Equipment
  3. Click Mark PM Complete
  4. The timer resets
