Taking Courses (My Training)

Where to Find Your Courses

Open Learn, the Learn tab on iOS, or in a browser on web, and go to My Training. Up next at the top is the one course to do now, with one button; below it are your Overdue, In progress, To do and Completed courses, with due dates where they apply. The Search or ask a question box filters them as you type, or asks your company's courses a question. Learners can take courses on both web and iOS.

Working Through a Course

1. Open a course: it fills the screen. Outline lists its steps, Ask asks about the step you're on, and Close takes you back.
2. Go through the lessons in order. Lessons can include text, images, video, embedded YouTube, PDFs, and diagrams.
3. Video lessons resume where you left off, so you can stop and pick up later without losing your place.

Quizzes

If a course has a quiz, take it when you reach it. Questions come in four types: single-choice, multi-select, true / false and hotspot (tap the right place on a picture). To finish the course you must reach the passing score, and there's a limit on how many attempts you get. If you use up your attempts without passing, the course simply reopens for a re-read so you can go through it again and retry: there's no lockout and no waiting on a manager.

Sign-off

Some courses ask for a sign-off instead of, or alongside, a quiz. You read the material and attest that you've read and understood it by typing your legal name as an e-signature.

Earning a Certificate

When you complete a course that grants one, a Certificate is issued automatically as a PDF. It's your proof of completion. (Read-and-sign courses, like those from SOPs, record your completion and signature instead.)

The Library

Want to brush up on something you weren't assigned? The Library lets you open any published course read-only: no enrollment, no quiz, and no certificate. It's there for reference and self-study any time.

Tip

Check My Training at the start of each week so nothing sneaks up on its due date.
